Dental department at the Clinical Research and Educational Center at the NEI “Medical and Social Institute of Tajikistan”
General Provisions:
1.1.The dental department is a structural unit of the clinic, designed to provide qualified care for the population.
1.2. The head of the department and specialists in their activities are guided by the current legislation, the Charter of the clinic, present current Regulations and job descriptions.
1.3 . The department can be used as a clinical base for medical, scientific, higher and secondary educational institutions.
1.4. The department employs candidates of medical sciences, doctors, dentists, and teachers. In the departments all treatment measures that are used in the field of modern dentistry in the world are implemented and equipped with modern equipment. The department consists entirely of therapeutic dentistry and prosthetic dentistry departments. The work of X-ray and sanitary rooms facilitates the work of teachers in timely, correct diagnosis and effective treatment. All studies have a squarc room for clean equipment, which is important for safety. Cooperation between teachers of the department is at the required level and helps to increase the authority of the department as a clinic of the NEI “Medical and Social Institute of Tajikistan.” The department can be used as a clinical base for medical, scientific, higher educational institutions.
Main objectives of the department:
2.1. Increasing the level of education of students;
2.2. Carrying out activities to improve students' knowledge in the field of prevention of dental diseases.
2.3. Introduction of methods for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of dental diseases based on modern medical technologies.
2.4. Training of highly qualified specialists;
2.5. Training of scientific and pedagogical personnel;
2.6. Preparation of guidelines, teaching aids and instructions for practical training of students and teachers;
- 7. Implementation of sanitary-hygienic and anti-epidemic measures to ensure the provision of medical care, the safety of medical activities, the safety of personnel and patients, and the prevention of the spread of nosocomial infections.
2.8. Improving organizational forms and methods of work of the department, aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of the diagnostic and treatment process.
2.9. Educational work at the department is carried out according to a plan approved by the education department, almost all lectures and practical classes are conducted in the form of presentation, that is, using a computer, projector and electronic board). The department has a phantom office with all modern materials, which helps to increase the level of knowledge of students.
2.10. Implementation of educational activities was carried out on the following topics: Prevention of youth joining extremist and terrorist groups ; On the state of studying the foreign language. On the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan and its significance for the peace and progress of today’s society)
Functions of the dental department:
3.1. Organization of the diagnostic and treatment process for dental diseases;
3.2. Consultative appointment;
3.3. Timely and comprehensive examination of patients;
3.4. Introduction of modern methods of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of dental diseases of the maxillofacial area;
- 5.Treatment of dental patients on an outpatient basis using modern methods and drugs;
3.6. Dispensary observation of patients with pathology of the dental system and analysis of its effectiveness with assessment of the level of dental health;
3.7. Identification of patients with dentofacial anomalies, deformations and prerequisites for their development, defects in the crowns of teeth and dentition, with their subsequent referral to the department of the dental clinic of the appropriate profile;
3.8. If there are medical indications, referral of patients for inpatient treatment to the dental and (or) maxillofacial surgery departments of a multidisciplinary hospital, as well as to specialized medical organizations;
3.9. Advisory assistance to doctors of other structural divisions of the clinic;
3.10. Organization and conduct of preventive examinations and oral sanitation of the assigned contingent, including in educational institutions of secondary, higher and postgraduate vocational education, recruiting stations, enterprises and organizations.
3.11. Analysis of the quality and efficiency of work, as well as the development of recommendations for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and dispensary observation of patients in the service department;
3.12. Introduction into practice of new methods of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of patients;
3.14. Participation in professional development activities; carrying out sanitary and hygienic training of the population, including with the involvement of nursing staff;
