According to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "Education", Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "Higher professional education and vocational education after higher education institutions”, “Approximate provisions of educational institutions higher professional education of the Republic of Tajikistan”, "Regulations of the Faculty of Higher Professional Education institutions "Republic of Tajikistan", order of the founder of the Institute dated 08/03/2020 No. 04-1 on the opening of a Non-governmental educational institutions "Medical - Social Institute of Tajikistan".", in due to production needs, by order of the Rector  of "Medical - Social Institute of Tajikistan" dated August 10, 2020, No. 04-18 was opened faculty of "Social medicine". Since 2020, Acting Dean of the Faculty is Odina Davlatovich Talabov and since February to October 2021, the post of dean of the faculty was held by Rizoeva Gulnora Ikromovna. Since Oct 2021 to present Acting Dean of the faculty is Haydarzoda Buzurghani Marufkhan. Faculty of “Social medicine” trains specialists in specialty "Social medicine", currently filed specialty is trained by 37 students. Specialists are social and public services, institutions of the system of social protection of the population, education, health care, army, law enforcement and individual independent activity. Also a specialist mastered the educational program of higher professional education of the given specialty, ready to continue studying for magistracy level. The purpose of “Social medicine” is achieving the highest levels of health, functioning and adaptation with people with limited physical and mental opportunities, as well as socially unprotected. Graduates specialty 1-860101 - "Social medicine" is assigned and duration of study: 4 years.

There is a speciality of “Medical psychology” in faculty of "Social medicine", where studing 76 students now.
