From 27.01.2022, by the order of the rector of the Institute of Social Medicine of Tajikistan, the "Internal Diseases" department started working in the "Scientific-Educational Center of the Institute".

Role of the department
- 1. Increasing the level and skills of students, teaching scientific-research works and introducing modern scientific innovations in clinical practice.
- 2. Learning new methods of diagnosis of internal diseases. Teaching students the subject of internal diseases.
- 3. Involvement of students for independent diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- 4. Improvement of scientific-research works based on the use of modern interactive teaching methods.
Teaching process
In the department, the teaching process is carried out by 15 teachers. Among them, 1 person is an associate professor, 3 people are candidates of medical sciences. Also, 5 young teachers under 35 years old are engaged in scientific and medical work. The workload of the department is equal to 7200 hours and is fully distributed among the teachers. Students are taught according to the syllabus in 3 languages (Tajik, Russian, English).
The institute has a cooperation agreement with 11 treatment centers, including: the state institution of the health care complex "Istiklоl", urban clinical centers, city health centers No. 12, No. 7 and No. 8, in which students apply their theoretical knowledge in practice. according to the curriculum, it is conducted in 3 languages (Tajik, Russian, English). Classrooms with computers, electronic boards, dummy, ECG, monitor, Holter-ECG, oxygen generator and laboratory equipment for patient diagnosis were equipped.
The institute has signed contracts with 11 medical centers where students are trained, including; "Istiklol" State Institution of Health Complex, City Clinical Centers, City Health Centers No. 12, No. 7 and No. 8.
In the department, the main subjects: occupational diseases and the following special subjects: "Education of the basics of internal diseases", "Internal diseases", "Skin diseases", "Physiotherapy, special care", "Palliative care" and "Clinical pathology" are taught.
Teacher Boboeva Maftuna has prepared a textbook, a lecture course on the subject "Education of the basics of internal diseases" in English for foreign students, which is about to be published.
Scientific activity.
The scientific topic of the department "Modern aspects of diagnosis and treatment of non-infectious diseases in adults and children in the Republic of Tajikistan" was approved by the National Patent and Information Center under the number 5729.
The head of the department, Rofieva Halima Sharifovna, conducted research on the topic “Clinical significance of the influence of the lungs on hemostasis and hemodynamics in women with acute myocardial infarction in the menopausal period and its intensive care.” and received significant results. The results of scientific work were published in the form of articles and abstracts published in the country and abroad. Rofieva Halima also has four original inventions:
- A method for visualizing the severity of the condition and predicting the outcome in patients with heart attack and stroke.
-A method for early diagnosis of metabolic disorders in patients with heart attack and stroke.
- A method of pronounced manifestation of type 1 cardiorenal syndrome in patients with acute myocardial infarction.
- A method for determining the severity and predicting the consequences of acute liver damage in patients with acute myocardial infarction.
Two people are engaged in scientific work at the department.

In this regard, the department organized a scientific circle on the topic “Portable Pulse” in three languages; (Tajik, Russian, English), in which foreign students also participate.
Teachers of the department participate in scientific and practical conferences of the institute, as well as outside the Abuali ibn Sino Medical University, Khatlon Medical University and outside the Republic; Russia. Uzbekistan.
Ideological educational works
Ideological and educational work is regularly carried out for the purpose of self-awareness and cultural improvement. Students and teachers are taken to the capital's museums, nursing homes, centers for the elderly and children. Meetings are regularly held with students on issues of extremism and terrorism, correct behavior in public places, etiquette of speech, communication and addressing others, and manners of dressing. Particular attention is paid to student participation in practical and theoretical classes.
