The Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacognosy, Organization and Economics of Pharmacy, Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Service and Pharmaceutical Information is one of the leading specialized departments of the Faculty of Pharmacy. The department was established as an independent department on the basis of the order of the rector of the NOU "Medical and Social University of Tajikistan" dated January 27, 2020 No. 04-29. The first head was Shamsiddinov A.J., Ph.D. in Economics. The department at the Institute is the main base for training highly qualified personnel in the field of pharmacy.

From 2023 to the present, PhD, Jamshedov J.N. has been working as the head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacognosy, Organization and Economics of Pharmacy, Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Service and Pharmaceutical Information

Open lessons and lectures are regularly held at the department by the head of the department and assistants, teaching methods are being improved. The mutual visits of open lessons, lectures, practical exercises, educational and methodological developments are systematically discussed at the cathedral meetings, and the professional level of teaching is assessed.

1. Improving the level and quality of knowledge and practical skills of students in the field of pharmaceutical technology, pharmacognosy, OEF, pharmacology and clinical pharmacology, developing their personality and worldview.
2. To increase the educational effectiveness of the subjects of pharmaceutical technology, pharmacognosy, OEF, pharmacology and clinical pharmacology, covering classes using modern teaching methods and technologies.

ACADEMIC WORK OF THE DEPARTMENT

The educational and methodological work of the department is aimed at improving the efficiency of the educational process and improving the pedagogical skills of the teaching staff of the department.

The planning and organization of the educational process is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the educational standard of specialty 1-79 01 08 "Pharmacy", curricula, standard and training programs.

Full-time students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Medicine of foreign students study at the Department. Foreign students are provided with training in Russian and English.

Curricula have been developed for all disciplines and industrial practices taught. Electronic educational and methodological complexes have been created and are constantly being updated, which are a set of systematized theoretical, practical, monitoring and evaluation materials based on the principles of interactivity, adaptability, information openness and remoteness. The educational process based on their active use makes it possible to form the professional competencies of future specialists, ensure the development of cognitive and creative abilities of the individual, and shift the focus from learning to learning. It makes it possible to plan and carry out independent, including guided independent work of students, ensures a rational distribution of study time on the topics of the discipline and the improvement of the methodology of classes.

Classes in all disciplines are held in specially equipped rooms with multimedia equipment.

The training is conducted in the form of lectures and laboratory / seminar classes, using elements of independent guided work of students. Traditional (methodological guidelines, visual aids, diagrams, collections of tests and situational tasks) and modern educational and information resources (multimedia lecture presentations in PowerPoint format, computer tests, videos, animated videos, interactive resources on the Internet, an industrial equipment simulator) are used.

Knowledge control is carried out in the form of oral and written surveys, solving situational problems, and computer testing. The final assessment is formed according to a cumulative system, including the average student's academic performance, the results of the colloquiums and the exam, taking into account his research activity at the department.

To improve the quality of lectures and practical classes, mutual visits to classes are practiced, followed by discussion at meetings of the department.

In 2022, the teachers of the department, together with the staff of the "Center for the Development and Registration of Medicines" of the Farmland enterprise, organized a lesson with 4th-year students as part of the course "Industrial Technology of medicines". The lesson on the topic "Development of solid dosage forms" was held on the basis of the enterprise. The leading specialists of the Center introduced students to the main stages of creating solid dosage forms – information retrieval, development of composition and technology, quality control techniques, in vivo and in vitro testing, registration of the finished drug. The relationship between the work of a marketer, technologist, chemical analyst, pharmacologist and registrar is shown. The students traced the path of creating a new drug – "development – validation – transfer".

A tour of the technological and analytical laboratories was conducted. The students got acquainted with the work of the laboratories, the equipment used and the principles of operation, the range of products.

This lesson allowed them to see the interrelation of the studied disciplines, summarize and systematize the knowledge gained in the courses Pharmaceutical development, Industrial technology of medicines, Pharmaceutical and Analytical Chemistry, Chromatographic methods of analysis, Marketing, etc.

A joint event with a pharmaceutical company allows you to integrate the practical experience of enterprises into the learning process.

The staff of the department take advanced training courses in accordance with the plan, take part in scientific and methodological conferences, webinars, symposiums and seminars, in meetings of the Council of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the methodological commission of pharmaceutical disciplines and the scientific and methodological commission. This work allows you to continuously search and develop.

The Department has developed and organized professional development cycles:

1. "Pharmaceutical technology" for authorized persons of manufacturers of medicines of the Republic of Tajikistan;
2. "Technology of manufacturing soft dosage forms" for specialists with higher pharmaceutical education, teachers of educational institutions of the healthcare system.

EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES

 In order to carry out educational activities, the department is constantly working on the preparation of educational guidelines for students of all faculties. In recent years, the staff of the department has published new lecture courses with a new model and work programs that form the basis of professional medical education. New programs are prepared in the official languages, Russian and English, in accordance with the state standard of higher professional education. They define the goals and objectives of the discipline, the requirements for mastering the content of the discipline, thematic lecture plans, practical classes and thematic plans for independent work of students in accordance with the provisions of the credit system of education.

Over the years, the department has prepared 7 educational programs (syllabus), lecture texts on pharmacy technology, pharmacognosy, OEF, pharmacology, clinical pharmacology and the history of pharmacy for students of pharmaceutical, medical, dental, medical psychology and social work faculties in the official languages – Russian and English. In each subject, the department has prepared 300 tests for distance exams and 200 examination questions for students of the above faculties.

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH WORKS

The department works on the basis of a research activity plan, in the direction of developing scientific potential, activating and improving skills, attracting talented young people to the field of science.

In order to improve the quality of training of specialists in the field of drug technology and pharmacology, to awaken creative activity to scientific research and conclusions, to deepen the study of certain special subjects, to strengthen theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired by students in the study of individual subjects, as well as in order to implement the decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated September 05, 2022 (under No. 04-477) on the action plan for the implementation of the Comprehensive State Training Program for the social protection system for the period up to 2030 at the department dated 10.10.2010 in 2022 (under No. 546a) by order of the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation A. Akhmedov.

To create a children's club "therapeutic" on the bases of chairs. According to the work plan, the Vice-rector for Science and Innovation, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Professor Akhmedova A.A. supports, supports the topics and accompanies the event.

EDUCATIONAL WORK

Educational work is one of the main parts of the department's activities and is carried out during school hours, practical classes, and lectures. Educational work at the department according to the plan of the vice-rector for educational work N.I.P., Okhunov B.H. Agreed and approved. The educational work plan of the department includes the participation of the department in all state events, physical education dates and public educational events. Educational activities are aimed at improving the level of knowledge and culture of students, as well as expanding their horizons and horizons.

In this case, educational and educational activities are carried out jointly. The staff of the department constantly talks with students about learning and observing the form, discipline and internal regulations at the department and at the university.

According to the department's work plan, various issues of educational activity were discussed at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacognosy, Organization and Economics of Pharmacy, Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Service and Pharmaceutical Information. Educational work is carried out on the following topics: implementation of the provisions of the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan: "On the responsibility of parents in the education and upbringing of children", "On the regulation of traditions and holidays and rituals in the Republic of Tajikistan".

At the same time, teachers conducted propaganda events, conversations and meetings with students in the classrooms on the issues of the relentless fight against terrorism and extremism, extremism and other undesirable phenomena, and preventing young people from joining extremist groups. All study groups have training hours on family education, manners and psychology of communication, the concept of beauty, and attracting students to historical sites and shrines of Tajikistan.
