Department of Social Sciences
The Department of Humanities was created in accordance with Order No. 77 of August 27, 2016 as part of the Medical and Social College of Dushanbe and to this day it is successfully functioning and expanding. The first head of the department was a teacher of natural disciplines Muminov Bakhtiyor Tabarovich from the beginning of its activities until September 2020. In September 2020, by the decision of the Academic Council, the department was reformed into the Department of Humanities as part of the National Educational Institution “Medical and Social Institute of Tajikistan” and the Medical College. At the department, students of the institute and college mastered all humanitarian and natural disciplines according to the curriculum.
According to the order of the rector of the NOU “Medical and Social Institute of Tajikistan” No. 04-26 dated January 26, 2022, the department was renamed to “Department of Social Disciplines”. At the same time, all subjects of nature studies and natural sciences were removed from the department and a separate department was created.
The Department of Social Sciences today is one of the largest and most relevant departments of the institute. Currently, students from all faculties of the institute and college at the department are studying a number of the most important social science disciplines: General history, History of modern Tajikistan, Sociology, Law, Law in the specialty, Political science, Scientific religious studies, Cultural studies, Philosophy and Health Economics and Anthropology.
Currently, the department has 9 main teachers (two candidates of science), 2 teachers (internal part-time teachers), six external part-time teachers (four of them candidates of science).
Educational activities. At the Department of Social Sciences, according to the curriculum, students study the following humanitarian disciplines: History of modern Tajikistan, Scientific religious studies, Cultural studies, Sociology, Law, Specialized Law, Health Economics, Political Science, Philosophy, Anthropology in the 1.2,3,4 courses of all faculties. Training is carried out according to the credit system in accordance with educational programs and plans approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan. The training course takes place in the following forms: a) classroom training (lectures), practical training (seminars); b), independent work under the guidance of a teacher; c) Independent work of the student, monitoring the level of student learning: checking the completion of test work; conducting intermediate certifications; Conducting tests (in written or computer form) on individual chapters of the subjects being studied; d) current certification - a comprehensive test exam in individual subjects; e) final state certification: state exams in all subjects of the department.
In order to improve the level and quality of student education and increase the efficiency of teaching social disciplines, all classrooms are equipped with visual aids and thematic banners in all subjects.
Department base. The department is assigned 11 classrooms and two lecture halls on the fifth floor of the main building of the institute. In total, the total area of the department with training areas is more than 1000 square meters, which corresponds to from 8 to 12 square meters for each student (this figure meets and even exceeds the standards that determine the status of higher education institutions). vocational education of the Republic of Tajikistan).
Educational activities. The role of social disciplines is especially important in the education of the younger generation in general and in particular in the training of highly moral, responsible and, from the point of view of ethics and aesthetics, competent medical personnel. The Department of Social Disciplines mobilizes all available opportunities, including the intellectual and creative energy of students and teachers, to implement the requirements of the National Concept of Education in the Republic of Tajikistan.
In order to implement the National Concept of Education in the Republic of Tajikistan, the staff of the department takes all necessary measures. In classrooms and academic groups, monitors compliance with student rules. The department strictly observes the rules of wearing prescribed clothing for students of higher vocational educational institutions and takes the necessary measures to develop national self-awareness, civic dignity and patriotism of students.
Educational work is carried out on the following topics: implementation of the provisions of the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan: “On the responsibility of parents in the education and upbringing of children”, “On the regulation of traditions and holidays in the Republic of Tajikistan”. In groups, teachers and students regularly discuss issues of promoting the tireless fight against terrorism, extremism and other undesirable manifestations, preventing youth from joining extremist groups, and propaganda activities.
