DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY MEDICINE
History of the department. For the first time on the basis of the Non-State Educational Institution “Medical and Social Institute of Tajikistan” dated January 26, 2022 and in accordance with the “Regulations of the Department of Higher Educational Professional Institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan” (Decision of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan dated March 30, 2017, No. 3/13), By order of the rector of the Medical and Social Institute of Tajikistan, the Department of Family Medicine was created.
The Department of Family Medicine is part of the main educational and scientific structure of the Institute, activities are aimed at educational, methodological, scientific and research, and social, educational and international relations have been established. The educational, methodological and research work of the department corresponds to the main direction of activity and curriculum of the specialties “Medical work” and “Dentistry”, which are established by the deans of the faculties.
Educational activities. According to the curriculum, the department organized educational activities for 3rd and 4th year students of the specialties “General Medicine” and “Dentistry” in the following subjects: “Family Medicine”, “Social Health”, “Occupational Pathology” and “Radiation Diagnostics and Radiation Therapy”.
Training is carried out according to the credit system in accordance with educational programs and plans approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan. The training course takes place in the following forms: a) classroom training (lectures), practical training (seminars); laboratory work, b) extracurricular activities, individual conversations (consultations), independent work under the guidance of a teacher; c) monitoring the level of student learning: checking the completion of test work; conducting intermediate certifications; conducting tests (in written or computer form) on individual chapters of the subjects being studied; d) current certification - a comprehensive test exam in individual subjects; e) final state certification: state exams in specialized subjects.
In order to improve the level and quality of education and practical skills of students, increase the efficiency of teaching specialized disciplines such as “Family Medicine”, “Social Health”, “Occupational Pathology” and “Radiation Diagnostics and Radiation Therapy”, the department has equipped 4 classrooms, in the preclinical office such as:
- an office for training practical skills in the subject of “Family Medicine”;
 room for training practical skills in the subject “Social Health”;
 room for training practical skills in the subject “Occupational Pathology”;
 room for training practical skills in the subject “Radiation therapy and examinations”.
Currently, the classrooms are equipped with all the necessary equipment for specialized subjects. In terms of practical skills, the transition is carried out directly with patients at different levels of outpatient care. It should be noted that the Department of Family Medicine examines the history of the development of family medicine, primary health care, features of family medicine, disease prevention, health education, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, increasing education and awareness of the population on medical issues, dispensary control , medical documentation in primary health care institutions, diagnosis and diagnosis of symptoms and syndromes that are more common in the work of a family doctor, as well as acute and chronic diseases encountered in the daily activities of a family doctor.
All classrooms are provided with tables and chairs as much as possible, and due to the fact that the department was recently established, preparations are currently underway to decorate them with themed banners and study corners.
Clinical base of the department

• State Institution “Research Institute of Social Medicine and Rehabilitation of the Disabled” (2 classrooms and two lecture halls, teachers F.P. Magzumova, R.I. Makhmudova, Sh. Jamshed);
• State Institution City Health Center No. 2 Dushanbe (1 room, teacher Tabarov I.T.);
• State Institution City Clinical Hospital No. 5 of Dushanbe (1 room teacher Bobonazarov E.Kh.)
In total, the total area of the department with teaching areas is more than 1000 square meters, which corresponds to 8-10 square meters for each student.
Educational activities. The Department of Family Medicine mobilizes all available opportunities, including the intellectual and creative energy of students and teachers, to implement the requirements of the National Concept of Education in the Republic of Tajikistan.
Employees of the department on actions and initiatives, which are assessed by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Honorable Emomali Rahman, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, relevant ministries and this Institute, have developed an action plan and, in accordance with it, teachers carry out educational work for students.
In order to implement the National Concept of Education in the Republic of Tajikistan, he takes the necessary measures, conducts constant study of it in the classrooms of academic groups, and monitors the implementation of internal procedures and student rules. The department monitors compliance with the “Methodological Instructions for Students of Higher Professional Education Institutions” and takes the necessary measures for the development of national self-awareness, civic dignity and patriotism of students.
Educational work is carried out on the following topics: implementation of the provisions of the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan: “On the responsibility of parents in the education and upbringing of children”, “On the regulation of traditions and holidays in the Republic of Tajikistan”. Tajikistan". At the same time, in class groups with teachers and students, issues of promoting the tireless fight against terrorism and extremism, extremism and other undesirable manifestations, preventing youth from joining extremist groups, and propaganda activities are discussed.
Discussions are being held to improve the level of communication between teachers and students, communication with patients during internship, mandatory compliance with the provisions of the Code of Medical Ethics, and strengthening of continuous moral and legal education among students. The department promotes student participation in events, competitions and conferences to promote a healthy lifestyle at the regional, city, national and international levels.
The Department of Family Medicine will contribute to the media, website and periodicals of the institute in holding conferences of teachers and students, which are held every year in the institution, where the achievements of teachers and students are discussed and evaluated.

Medical and advisory work
Patients are advised by department specialists (Magzumova F.P., Makhmudova R.I., Tabarov I.T., Bobonazarov E.Kh.).
Achievements of the department. We hope that this department will contribute to the development of the industry, especially family medicine, and the development of the institute in the future.
Scientific activity. The department together with the State Institution “Research Institute of Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation of Disabled People” with two part-time applicants on the topic “Integrate the provision of treatment and preventive services for HIV/AIDS in a network of health care institutions” and “Scientific basis for the development of medical and social rehabilitation of disabled people in treatment and preventive institutions" conducts scientific activities.
METHODOLOGICAL WORKS
3 educational and methodological manuals are being prepared for students of medical universities:
1. Interactive method of training family medicine specialists (Interactive method of training family medicine specialists using the “OSKE” method) - OSCE - methodological manual;
2. Preparation of syllabuses in family medicine (family medicine), social health (Social hygiene), occupational diseases (Occupational pathology) and radiation therapy (radiation therapy) for 3rd and 4th year students of general medicine and dentistry.

PARTICIPATION IN SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL EVENTS DURING 2023
1. On April 18, 2023, a scientific and practical conference of teachers and students of the Medical and Social University of Tajikistan was held on the topic “Topical issues of pediatric surgery: prospects for the development of modern technologies for diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.”
2. Scientific and practical republican conference of the NOU “Medical and Social University of Tajikistan” on the topic: “Topical issues of the science of clinical and social medicine, ways of its development in the Republic of Tajikistan” (with the participation of specialists from foreign countries), September 22. -23, 2 theses.
3. Scientific and practical republican conference (29th annual) State Educational Institution “University of Postgraduate Education in the Field of Health Care of the Republic of Tajikistan” on the topic: “Modern trends in science and practice in the field of health care” (October 27, 2023) - 2 scientific articles.
4. Republican scientific and practical conference “The process of empowerment in Tajikistan: problems and achievements” December 15, 2023 – publication of 2 scientific articles.
