HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

The activities of the department are established in 2022-2023. in accordance with the Regulations on the departments of higher vocational educational institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan (Resolution of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan dated March 30, 2017 No. 3/13), on approval of the Regulations on the department of higher vocational educational institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan, also in accordance with the Charter of the NOU “ Medical and Social Institute of Tajikistan”, the work plan of the department and the order of the rector dated January 27, 2022 No. 04-31.

The Department of Medical Psychology provides training for specialists at the first stage of higher education in the specialty “Doctor.” Psychotherapist".

The Department of Medical Psychology, according to the curriculum, conducts classes in the following disciplines:

• Sleep medicine and dreams;
• Psychological counseling;
• History of psychology;
• Differential psychology;
• Family psychology;
• Functional psychology;
• Medical psychology;
• Psychodiagnostics;
• General and social psychology;
• Psychology of Personality;
• Neurology;
• Health psychology;
• Psychosomatics;
• Medical psychoprophylaxis;
• Perinatal psychology;
• Experimental psychology;
• Psychological development disorder in childhood.

Currently there are 11 teachers working at the department. The department is headed by acting Kurbonova Saida Mukhamadovna, whose candidacy was chosen by professors and teachers by secret ballot at a meeting of the Council of Scientists of the Institute for a period of 5 years. 

Educational activities

The department conducts practical and theoretical classes for students of the medical, psychological and social faculty. Training is carried out in accordance with the curriculum and is based on the specifics of each faculty and the specifics of future specialists in Russian and Tajik languages. Each classroom is equipped with computers, and during the lesson, teachers use multimedia as a visual aid. During practical classes, assistants use visual aids in the form of posters, psychological drawings, crosswords and tests. As part of the curriculum, there are additional diagnostic methods in neurology and the teacher conducts practical classes and independent work with students in laboratories, functional diagnostic rooms MRI, CT, EEG.

The department conducts consistent work with the student scientific circle - “Nabzi ravonshinos” (Order of the rector of MCIT Ibodzoda Z.Kh. dated 09.19.2022 No. 04-516). Within the framework of this circle, student conferences, quizzes and round tables are held every year.

During the period of its activity, the department held a scientific circle “Nabzi ravonshinos” on the topics:

• The influence of the Internet on the psychological characteristics of adolescents;
• Psychological rehabilitation;
• Psychological assistance to victims;
• Psychological defense mechanism

 Educational work

Educational work at the department is carried out in accordance with the educational work plan, which is agreed upon and approved by the vice-rector for educational work B.Kh. Okhunov.

The plan of educational work of the department was developed on the basis of the requirements of the “National Concept of Education in the Republic of Tajikistan” (Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated March 3, 2006 No. 94). Educational activities are aimed at increasing the level of knowledge and culture of students.

Discussions are being held to improve the level of communication between teachers and students, communication with patients during internship, mandatory compliance with the provisions of the Code of Medical Ethics, and strengthening of continuous moral and legal education among students. The department carries out educational work in accordance with the requirements of the provisions of the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan:

• “On the responsibility of parents for the education and upbringing of children” (as amended by the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan dated March 15, 2016, No. 1294; dated May 17, 2018, No. 1532);

PARTICIPATION IN SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL EVENTS IN 2022-2023.

• On April 18, a scientific and practical conference of teachers and students of the “Medical and Social Institute of Tajikistan” was held on the topic “Insomnia, its causes, consequences and treatment.”
• Scientific and practical republican conference “Medical and Social University of Tajikistan” “Topical issues of the science of clinical and social medicine, ways of its development in the Republic of Tajikistan” (with the participation of specialists from foreign countries), September 22-23, 2023 – 3 abstracts and 1 report.
