Simulation Training Center

             Simulation Training Center is a structural unit of the NEI “Medical and Social Institute of Tajikistan” was established to form, develop and support clinical competence among students of the institute and healthcare professionals, as well as to provide a safe environment, without risking the health of patients, cognitive reliability that contributes to the effective learning of clinical and communication skills and to implement the principle of lifelong learning.

As part of the implementation of the Concept of Reforming Medical and Pharmaceutical Education in the Republic of Tajikistan approved by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on October 31, 2008 (No. 512), a Center for Practical Skills Training was established within the structure of the institute by order No. 04-471 dated 01.09.2022.

In addition to order No. 04-471 dated 01.09.2022, according to the rector’s order  dated 22.10.2025, the name of the Practical Skills Training Center of the NEI “Medical and Social Institute of Tajikistan” was changed to the Simulation Training Center (STC).

Mission of the Center: To provide an appropriate educational environment for the training of clinical skills.

The purpose of the Center: To provide an opportunity to form, develop and support clinical competence, to provide a reliable educational environment for effective clinical and communicative training. To organize and monitor the quality of training and the effectiveness of students' mastery of clinical and communicative skills in the conditions of the Simulation Training Center.

Staff of the simulation training center

• Director;
• Specialists in the areas of "Internal medicine", "Children's diseases", "Surgical diseases" and "Obstetrics and Gynecology";
• Teachers of educational disciplines who conduct professional practice at the center:
• obstetrics and gynecology;
• anesthesiology and resuscitation;
• internal medicine;
• pediatrics and neonatology;
• surgery etc.

MAIN TASKS OF THE CENTER

Educational process

The Center conducts practical classes according to the academic schedule:

- for 2^nd-year students of the Faculties of Medicine, Medical Psychology, Medical-Social and Pharmaceutical, a practical skills course;

- for 3^rd-year students of the Faculties of Medicine, in the disciplines of  Introduction to Internal Diseases, Introduction to Pediatric Diseases, General Surgery, a clinical skills course;

- for 4^th and 5^th-years  students of Medical Faculties, in the disciplines of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgical Diseases;

Depending on the academic discipline, students practice their practical skills under the supervision of a teacher. Student attendance is recorded in the attendance journal.

Practical classes at the center

             Student Scientific Club: In order to improve the quality of training of highly qualified specialists, a plan for the student Scientific Club has been developed together with the center's key specialists, and according to meeting of the student Scientific Club are held in the Simulation Training Center.
