History of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry.

By the decision of the Academic Council of the Non-State Educational Institution “Medical and Social University of Tajikistan” dated January 27, 2022 and in accordance with the “Regulations on the Department of Higher Professional Education Institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan” (Decision of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, March 30, 2017, No. 3/13) The structure of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry was transformed by order of the rector of the Medical and Social Institute.

The Department of Therapeutic Dentistry is located on the 2nd floor of the “Clinical Research and Educational Center” at the National Educational Institution “Medical and Social Institute of Tajikistan”.

The Department of Therapeutic Dentistry is considered the main educational and scientific structure of the institute and carries out its activities in the areas of educational, methodological, research, public education and international relations. The educational, methodological and research work of the department corresponds to the main direction of activity and curriculum of the specialties “Dentistry” and “ General Medicine”, the training of personnel for which is established by the deans of the faculties.

Main tasks of the department:

-increasing the level of education of students;

-carrying out activities to improve the level of knowledge of students in the field of prevention of dental diseases.

-implementation of methods for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of dental diseases based on modern medical technologies.

-training of highly qualified specialists;

-training of scientific and pedagogical personnel;

-preparation of guidelines, teaching aids and instructions for practical training of students and teachers;

- implementation of sanitary-hygienic and anti-epidemic measures to ensure the provision of medical care, the safety of medical activities, the safety of personnel and patients, and the prevention of the spread of nosocomial infections.

- improvement of organizational forms and methods of work of the department, aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of the diagnostic and treatment process.

-implementation of educational activities; (educational work was carried out on the following topics: Prevention of youth joining extremist and terrorist groups ; On the state of studying the state language in the center. On the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan and its significance for the peace and progress of today’s society)

-educational work. (educational work at the department is carried out according to a plan approved by the education department, almost all lectures and practical classes are conducted in the form of presentation, that is, using a computer, projector and electronic board). The department has a phantom office with all modern materials, which helps to increase the level of knowledge of students.

Currently there are 7 teachers working at the department, the Department is headed by Kurbonova Gulnoz Khoshimovna .

Learning activities . The Department of Therapeutic Dentistry, according to the curriculum, deals with the following subject disciplines: “Therapeutic Dentistry”, Propaedeutic Dentistry”, “Dentistry” (for 2nd and 3rd year students “General Medicine” and “Dentistry”.

Training is carried out according to the credit system in accordance with educational programs and plans approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan. The training course takes place in the following forms: a) classroom training (lectures), practical training (seminars); laboratory works. b) extracurricular activities, personal conversations (consultations), independent work under the guidance of a teacher; c) monitoring the level of student learning: checking the completion of test work; conducting intermediate certifications; Conducting tests (in written or computer form) on individual chapters of the subjects being studied; d) current certification - a comprehensive test exam in individual subjects; e) final state certification: state exams in specialized subjects.

In order to improve the level and quality of education and practical skills of students, to increase the efficiency of teaching specialized dental disciplines, 4 classrooms of the department are preclinically equipped.

Currently, there are classrooms for practical skills training, equipped with all the necessary equipment for specialized subjects, including dental instruments and materials. In the department, only 5 universal dental chairs are used for patient treatment and practical skills.

All classrooms are equipped with tables and chairs and feature themed banners. The corridors of the department are decorated with study corners and banners.

In total, the total area of the department with training grounds is more than 1000 square meters, which corresponds to 8 to 12 square meters for each student (this figure meets and even exceeds the standards that determine the status of higher education institutions). vocational education of the Republic of Tajikistan).

Educational activities.

The Department of Therapeutic Dentistry mobilizes all available capabilities, including the intellectual and creative energy of students and teachers, to implement the requirements of the “National Concept of Education in the Republic of Tajikistan”.

Employees of the department on actions and initiatives that are assessed by the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, relevant ministries and the council of the institute developed an action plan and, in accordance with it, carried out educational work among teachers for students.

In order to implement the National Concept of Education in the Republic of Tajikistan, he takes the necessary measures, conducts constant study of it in the classrooms of academic groups, and monitors the implementation of internal procedures and student rules. The department monitors compliance with the “Recommended medical clothing for students of higher professional educational institutions” and takes the necessary measures to develop national self-awareness, civic dignity and patriotism of students.

Educational work is carried out on the following topics: implementation of the provisions of the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan: “On the responsibility of parents in the education and upbringing of children”, “On the regulation of traditions and holidays in the Republic of Tajikistan”. Tajikistan". At the same time, in class groups with teachers and students, issues of promoting the tireless fight against terrorism and extremism, and other undesirable manifestations, preventing youth from joining extremist groups, and propaganda activities are discussed.

Discussions are being held to improve the level of communication between teachers and students, communication with patients during internship, mandatory compliance with the provisions of the Code of Medical Ethics, and strengthening of continuous moral and legal education among students. The department promotes student participation in events, competitions and conferences to promote a healthy lifestyle at the regional, city, national and international levels.

Every year, the Department of General Surgery holds conferences of teachers and students, at which the achievements of teachers and students are reviewed and used, and this is also covered in the media, on the website and in periodicals of the institute.

Medical and advisory work. On a daily basis, dentists carry out preventive and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures:

- organization of the diagnostic and treatment process for dental diseases;

-consultative appointment;

- timely and comprehensive examination of patients;

-implementation of modern methods of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of dental diseases of the maxillofacial area;

-treatment of dental patients on an outpatient basis using modern methods and drugs;

-dispensary observation of patients with pathology of the dental system and analysis of its effectiveness with assessment of the level of dental health;

- identification of patients with dentofacial anomalies, deformations and prerequisites for their development, defects in the crowns of teeth and dentition, with their subsequent referral to the department of the dental clinic of the appropriate profile;

- if there are medical indications, referral of patients for inpatient treatment to the dental and (or) maxillofacial surgery departments of a multidisciplinary hospital, as well as to specialized medical organizations;

-advisory assistance to doctors of other structural divisions of the clinic;

-Organization and conduct of preventive examinations and oral sanitation of the assigned contingent, including in educational institutions of secondary, higher and postgraduate vocational education, recruiting stations, enterprises and organizations (students, working population, pregnant women);
